Kids the the Cup (KTTC) is for kids ages 8 – 16 years old that want the inside track to the biggest races and biggest stars in horse racing.

KTTC was formed in 2002 by Trudy McCaffery and John Toffan. The program went dormant in 2006 after bringing over 1,200 kids to racing events around the country from the Kentucky Derby to the Breeders’ Cup.

Kids to the Cup has been resurrected by alumni in an effort to pay it forward to the next generation of racing fans and industry professionals.

As part of it’s rebirth, Kids to the Cup has partnered with Annie’s Answer, an equine assisted therapy program for kids who’ve suffered emotional trauma. In doing so, kids who are introduced to horses through Annie’s Answer and realize a passion for horses can go on to learn about the horse racing industry through Kids to the Cup. Likewise, kids involved with Kids to the Cup that live locally can volunteer with Annie’s Answer to see first hand what goes into running a horse farm that utilizes retired racehorses.
